Very important match for both Sampdoria and Cremonese. Both teams are struggling to avoid relegation from Serie A this season. Sampdoria lost this match and are now ranked last.

Before kick-off there was a fight between the two set of fans. An estimated 50 supporters involved in the clash which left 3 fans injured.
