Portugal: Torcida Verde with a tribute to the Italian ultras scene!

During the match last Sunday the ultras group Toricda Verde (founded in the 80's) displayed a message for the Italian ultras scene.

They say the Italian movement, which started about 50 years ago, has been used as a model for the Portuguese football supporters and a great inspiration for ultras.

Here is the message translated by Torcida Verde:

"For this day, the Torcida Verde presented the latest choreography, this time of tribute to the 50 years of the inimitable Ultras movement.

Also another flag, in which were inscribed symbols of 34 Ultras groups that marked the last 50 years of the movement of organized tifo in Italy.

It would be utopian to insert the innumerable Italian Ultras groups, reason why the groups inscribed in this colossal flag have a symbolic and transversal character to the Italian peninsula, much beyond the rivalries.

Ultra groups from more media clubs to almost unknown clubs, some of them from clubs in secondary divisions!

Ultra groups are still in action today, others have long been suspended.
