Champions League: Superb atmosphere and some trouble.

What a night it was in Liverpool for the semi-final in Champions League against AS Roma!

Local fans gathered outside Anfield to welcome their team bus. The scenes we witnessed were hard to believe took place in England. At the same time mobs of Italians moved forward to the stadium, several smaller incidents occurred. In one fight just outside Anfield, one 53-year-old Liverpool fan ended up in hospital after he was beaten by the Italians. According to witnesses, at least one support was spotted with a hammer (!).

Two Roma fans got arrested after this incident, both of whom face up to 15 years in prison for attempted murder.

Inside Anfield, both sets of fans created an amazing atmosphere. Loud songs from all 4 stands in 90 minutes.
