Germany: Cool show by Union fans.

Union grab the first win of the season with a bang, defeating Karlsruhe 4:0 (2:0) on a hot late-summer noon in front of 19,356. The home fans displayed a two-piece choreography with a gambling theme - suggesting to "Bet everything on red - Union or nothing."

The Karlsruhe away end is usually full at the Alte Försterei, mostly with Hertha fans who feel some sort of kinship with the Southwesterners and appreciate the seasonal opportunity to visit Köpenick. Today there was still a bit of room as Hertha had a game of their own for their supporters to pay attention to. The away end was in good voice in the beginning, mostly expressing antipathy to the home team - until the scoring line eventually silenced them.
