Bulgaria: Levski supporters saved their basketball club

More than 10,000 Levski Sofia fans went to a charity basketball game to support and save their club from it's financial crysis.

Last season BC Levski won the Bulgarian league, Bulgarian Cup and the Balkan League, but management problems left the club in very bad financial situation. The club could not rely on a lot of money, since all the profit from tickets goes for championship fees etc. Most of the players left the club, and only young boys stayed to play, even when they knew they would get no money.

Today Levski supporters manage to collect enough money, so their club can continue to exist, at least for some time now.
