Fortuna from Dusseldorf ended their season 2010/2011 on 7th place in the German second league. Club was founded in 1895.

In the 90's the club went down to Obergliga (Level 5!) due to money problems. For some years they were sponsored by Die Toten Hosen, a German punk band! Average attendance during last season was over 28 000 per match.
