Czech Republic: Both Viktoria Plzeň and Jablonec fined by the football federation.

The Czech football federation said in a statement Thursday it fined Viktoria Plzen and Jablonec 3700 euros each after fans displayed anti-Islam banners earlier this year.

 

When Viktoria Plzeň played against Slavia Praha 24th of July this year, home fans displayed a choreography with the text "Europe wake up". The choreo is clearly pointed on the refugee situation in Europe now days.

 

Few days later, 2nd of August, fans of Jablonec displayed a similar banner in the match against Bohemians 1905. The banner show a female figure called "Europe" kicking a pig wearing a turban. Fans later said they were inspired by the French satirical newspaper Charlie Hebdo.
